– Facebook
– Twitter
– Google Plus

On Demand Background
You can setup a background for the On Demand theme under Appearance > Customize > Background. Please see the Appearance Background Screen codex article for instructions on how to use a custom background image.
On Demand Homepage Setup
Setting the homepage template
To ensure that On Demand’s homepage template loads correctly, navigate to Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page, or Settings > Reading, and ensure that the ‘your latest posts’ option is selected.
Carousel
The carousel on the homepage features posts from a selected category. To choose this category navigate to Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page and configure the ‘Carousel – Category’, the ‘Carousel Slide Number’ options (4 posts will display by default), and ‘Carousel Slide Speed’ options. Please keep in mind that you must upload a featured image to your posts before they will appear on the homepage, and that the images on the homepage are featured images, not automatically generated video thumbnails (although you can use a plugin like ‘Video Thumbnails’ to have a featured image automatically generated from a video).
Featured Categories
Immediately below the carousel is a section with 6 thumbnail images: each image is one category that can be selected under Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page > ‘Enable Featured Categories’, followed by the Featured Video #X (1 – 6) options.
Latest Posts
Finally, the homepage features posts from a selected category in a two column layout with sidebar, or three column layout if no widgets are added to your sidebar. The option to set this category is under Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page > ‘Latest Posts – Category’.
The following image shows the setup of the demo homepage.

On Demand Colors and Fonts
Site Colors
Under Appearance > Customize > Colors you can set your theme’s main colors, including (1) Header Text Color, which is the color of your site title and tagline (if not using a header image); Background color, which applies to your site background; Primary Site Color, for main fonts and links, and Secondary Site Color for various text like author meta text, footer meta text, etc.
Fonts
On Demand doesn’t include any font options, because font options don’t belong in a theme. Instead we recommend the ‘Easy Google Fonts’ plugin (which will add a ‘Theme Typography’ option to your customizer panel). If you wanted to use a non-Google font, then please contact us and we’d be happy to provide directions if you weren’t sure how.
Setting up a Portfolio
You may following these steps:
- Create posts, set categories for these posts, add featured images, videos, etc.
- Create a new page, and set this page’s template to “Portfolio” (see attached screenshot)
- Navigate to Appearance –> Customize to select the Category/Categories that you would like to display on the Portfolio page that you’ve created (see second screenshot attached)
On Demand Footer
On Demand features meta / copyright information to the bottom left of the theme footer. You can add your own under Appearance > Customize > General > Footer Tagline.
