Theme Options Panel
Folio is integrated with the WordPress theme Customizer (Appearance > Customize), giving you easy control over Folio's various options.
Theme Options
Folio’s theme options can be found under Appearance > Customize > Folio Customizer Options in your WordPress admin. Those options are:
Colors
Primary Site Color. This option will change the background of the header, body (behind the grid), and footer area.
Secondary Site Color. This option changes the color your site links (site title, navigation menu, etc.).
Filter Background Color. This option will allow you to set a background color for the grid filter area.
Logo
Custom Logo. Allows you to upload a custom logo (width of 80px, although this can be changed with some CSS) to the top left header area of the theme.
Custom Favicon. Allows you to upload your own site favicon.
Filter or Infinite Scroll
This checkbox allows you to enable the filter and disable infinite scroll, or disable the filter and enable infinite scroll. This is an option we’re in the process of re-working, so for the same layout as the demo check the box to enable the filter. (You will then need to navigate to Settings > Reading to increase your blog page setting from ’10’ to a high number like ‘999’).
Pages
Folio provides two ways to view pages: the first is an overlay on the home page, and the second is the traditional click to view a page on its own (away from the homepage). The Folio demo has the overlay option enabled. Note: Some shortcodes will not work when using the overlay option, so please be aware of this if you plan on using shortcode-heavy pages (in which case the ‘Standard’ option will likely serve you better).
Social Icons
Folio supports a set of social icons in the theme’s footer. The currently supported set of icons are:
– Facebook
– Twitter
– Behance
– Instagram
– Pinterest
– Vimeo
– YouTube
– Linkedin
When entering the link to your social media profile be sure to include the ‘http://’ or ‘https://’ protocol, or else your links will link back to your site, e.g. you might end up with something like press75.com/facebook.com/press75. If there is a social media icon that isn’t supported but you would like to use, then please send us an e-mail and we can add it in for you.
Footer
Simply, this allows you to enter your own copyright text in the theme’s footer. This will replace the default ‘Copyright 2016 by Press 75 Folio – A WordPress Theme by Press75’ footer text.
Creating Posts With Galleries, Single Images & Video
Folio supports three post formats (in addition to the ‘Standard’ post type): Image, Gallery, and Video. To create a new post log into your WordPress admin, navigate to Posts > Add New, and then follow one of the directions below for the post type you want to create.
Image Post Type
- Add a title to your post.
- Upload a featured image.
- Select the ‘Image’ post type, add any categories or tags you want to add, and then publish your post.
Gallery Post Type
- Add a title to your post.
- Upload a featured image.
- Select the ‘Gallery’ post type, and add any categories or tags you want to add.

The next pop-up window will give you the option to add captions and other gallery settings, but please note that the gallery settings do not affect the images inside each gallery. Once complete, click the ‘Insert gallery’ button.
